About the Person behind Studio DesignCreole

STUDIO DESIGNCREOLE is the brainchild of Shobha Nagendran who is an Artist, Copywriter, and Graphic Designer.

GRAPHIC DESIGN: Shobha has worked in creative teams in various advertising agencies for 18 years and now freelances graphic designing for clients in India and abroad.

PAINTINGS: Shobha has been an artist by birth. In later years, her art has been influenced by John Constable Golding, an 18th century great Master, and by Paul Gauguin.  Her subjects range from landscapes, birds, wildlife, and floral to still-life. Her chosen mediums are oils and watercolor. All her paintings are originals as she finds her own references in her travels inside India and abroad. She completed her B.A. with Economics and English Literature from Shri Shikshayatan College, Kolkata; and then earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication & Journalism from Osmania University. After 18 years of Copywriting, she launched out as a professional artist and freelance graphic designer.   She has designed Flyers, Brochures, Posters, Art Gifts, and Cards for clients in Seattle and Bangalore.  Her paintings have found homes in Seattle and Maryland. In 2004, she founded an Art School & Gallery in Bangalore, where she has curated exhibitions by artists from Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Kolkata.
